📚 Book Fair Note (also sent home today in paper form)
Our amazing librarian, Mrs. Azooz, will be transforming our beautiful library into a fantastic book fair next week! The book fair is open to students during the day and to families during the evenings of PTI’s. If your child would like to purchase a book, they may bring money to school.
Our Tuesday library block will become a book fair preview tour. We will not be returning or exchanging our library books next week. Students will keep the books they have for 1 more week and then we will return to our regular library exchange the following week once the book fair is taken down. Thank you!
🎄 Further Christmas Concert Details (also below)
The students and staff of Riverstone are working hard to prepare a Christmas concert for your enjoyment. This concert will occur on Tuesday, December 11th, at the People’s Church (11850 108 St.) The performance will begin at 6:00 p.m., with doors opening at 5:40 p.m., and will conclude around 7:30 p.m.
Drop and pick up plans for all performers:
Kindergarten, Grade One and Grade Two Students: Drop students off and pick them up directly from their designated rooms (both before and after the concert).
Grade 3 and Grade 4 students: Drop students off at the base of stairwell (this location will be marked). After the performance, teachers will bring classes back out to the main foyer for pick up.
Grade 5 and Grade 6 students: Drop students off at the Reach Center (separate building north of the main church). Please, pick up grade 5 & 6 students from the Reach Center after the performance as well.
We will begin the evening with performances from Grade 6 Orchestra and Band, as well as our JH Ensemble. The Kindergarten classes will also have a performance before the main production.
This year, our grade 1-6 musical production is I Need A Little Christmas Vacation. This musical tells the story of how a blizzard threatens to keep the students at school for the holidays. Throughout the performance, students learn that they are fortunate to spend this special time of year surrounded by their friends.
We are looking forward to celebrating the Christmas season with you at this concert!
Enjoy your evening! 😊
